White Noise

White Noise
This is called White Noise because of the simple white playsuit and the noise the pink creates! I love playsuits for summer they are just so simple and easy to style. This one is from Boohoo.com and I have matched it up with some bright colours to make it stand out. I have chosen another Boohoo product in the form of this hot pink clutch bag and Topshop nail varnish to match it. The gold jewelry adds some class to it. The kimono matches the black in the playsuit and the sunglasses. The shoes are from Newlook but you can wear any kind of shoe with this look.

Candy Crush

Candy Crush
This is just such a cute look! This River Island dress is so cute and girly and this is just one way you can dress it. This is a dressed up version for parties and I think its uber cute! Its a candy pink colour so I have sort of stuck with that theme by using colours that are not too harsh against it and drown it out. I have kept the pink in the dress only and matched a lipgloss with it. Black or white shoes go perfectly with this dress because they are complimentary colours e.g white goes with the white in the dress and black goes with the white of the dress. Its so simple but chic and I like the way you can make it vintage with a hairstyle like this one or make it really modern with accessories.

Weekend Celebrations

This weekend my family and I celebrated my Grandparents Diamond Wedding Anniversary in Kate Kearneys Restaurant and Bar in Kerry. My mother organised a surprise party for them and managed to get all the family together for it. My mother, my two aunties, my younger cousin and I went into the restaurant early to decorate the table and to deliver the cake that my aunt made for them. (My aunt is so good at making cakes for those of you who saw my birthday post you will have seen my amazing Chanel cake!). The party had a diamond theme due to their sixty years of marriage so we had little fake diamonds on the table and on the cake.

For my party look I chose to wear another great buy from Tk Maxx about 4 years ago in the form of a grecian style, blue chiffon dress by Miss Behave. Its really simple but so elegant at the same time. I chose for a very different hairstyle than normal for the occasion! I decided to do a love bun with a sleek and parted front. Everyone said I look really different with it like that so I think I’m going to add it to my look book. I reused my sequin purse from my debs and my blue shoes from Pennys.

We had a great night surrounded by family and friends. Kate Kearneys were a great help and the food was really good! We had a great menu and heres what I chose as my starter and main. Obviously there was no dessert because we had the amazing cake! My starter was Deep Fried Brie with Salad and Sweet Chilli Sauce. My main was Chicken wrapped in Bacon with stuffing and Pepper Sauce.

The Evolution Of Kim Kardashian

Since getting engaged to Kanye West earlier this year and having her baby girl North, Kim Kardashian seems to be more popular than ever! The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has had some high and low points over the last few years from her short marriage to Kris Humphries, The slagging of her pregnancy body from the media, the arrival of her daughter North and her engagement to Kanye West Kim has been in the public eye more then ever this year! In this post I’m going to go through Kim’s looks from over the years and see how much she has grown and changed in style, image and in her personal achievements over the years. The first picture is of Kim from series one of KUWTK. There are some obvious differences here from her more recent photos. Her face looks slightly more puffy then they do now but in a young way. Her hair is flatter and classically straight.  She has always played around with her hair adding volume, longer extensions, colour and different cuts. The second photo shows her with a new side fringe and side parting with lots of volume. Her lips in both these photos look natural and full and her nose is more natural looking too.

The next photo shows a new style again in her hair and overall look. Her tan is darker and her hair is lighter. With a new full fringe and make up look featuring darker eyes and thicker lashes Kim shows off her assets here. Later on she hit the blonde bottle. Showing a more summery look with lighter hair and a natural tan. She looks completely different with these new locks and has completely moved away from her black hair.

Skipping a few years now to Kim’s pregnancy. She and Kanye and expecting their first child together while she is still going through a long divorce process with husband of 72 days Kris Humphries. At the start of her pregnancy Kim kept to her regular style of pencil skirts and tight dresses with heels. Kim got a lot of stick from the media about her pregnancy body referring to her weight and at one point it even making a reference to Shamoo the whale. Personally I think it was ridiculous because after all she was pregnant and if going through all that change for the first time isn’t hard enough having the whole world point out your looks cant help! Through out her pregnancy Kim moved into more comfy pregnancy looks like this green maxi dress showing off her new bump. The last photo was for a magazine shoot proving that even though she was pregnant she still looked gorgeous!

Post pregnancy looks now and Kim came back with a bang! Eager to prove to the world that she was happy with her body and getting back to her old self she stepped out with a new head of blonde short locks and some revealing outfits. You can see how to recreate her Denim look on Evanna Lily and on my Polyvore in the Collection Get The Look

Lately she has been in a very good colour palette featuring lots of pastels and different colours. She has gone back to her pencil skirt and crop top ways

ImageImageImageImage

Her most recent look involves her going back to brunette but keeping the short length. She has moved towards side split maxi skirts a little more like this look she wore to singer Ciara’s baby shower. Kim has stated though she regrets leaving the blonde behind.

One thing has whipped everyone into a frenzy and divided most of the world is Kim and Kanye’s Vogue article. It has some amazing looking shots including family photos with North which Kim posted to Instagram as a sneek peek.Image

Pastel Pink

Pastel Pink
As we are in Spring and approaching Summer its that time of year to get into a good colour palette for the nicer weather. Say goodbye to your black and dark colour ensembles and bring some colours into your wardrobe! This is a simple but classy outfit demonstrating how easy it is to bring in the colour. Pastel pink and stonewash jeans are a good combination because then you have your basic colour palette. Normally you wouldn’t put pink and blue together but pastel shades mean they actually go really well together! If you like your darker colours this kimono goes well with the outfit. A messy bun is such a good hairstyle because it is effortless but still classy looking and it goes with virtually any look! Let me know what you think as usual I love to hear feedback x

Chic Chick

Chic Chick
This is a simple but stylish idea for summer. You can wear this dressed up or down by only changing the shoes. I chose three choices of shoes for this because it goes with so many different varieties. I like this because its sort of grown up but playful at the same time. Its perfect for heading out to festivals, lying in the summer sun, summer parties etc. I also like the combination of the top and shorts because it reminds me of ballerina style with the black fitted top and pink skirt so it has a girly element to it.

Carried Away

Carried Away
Recreate this look by Carrie Bradshaw from the Sex and The City 2 movie using this Oasis dress! I tried this dress on today and I love it! It has a small slit up the skirt on either side and a short underskirt. When I tried it on I thought of the scene from SATC 2 where Carrie is walking on the beach after reading a bad review of her new book. As she is in the middle east in the movie I think this dress would be perfect for holidays and warm summer!

Matchy Maxi Skirt Look

Matchy Maxi Skirt Look
This is an example of how to style a maxi skirt if you are unsure of how to wear yours. They really are the perfect summer skirt when its too hot to wear jeans but you don’t want to show off too much skin just yet. They go really well with crop tops or halternecks. You can also style the odd jumper with them with the sleeves rolled up if its a bit breezy. You can wear them dressed up or down simply by your choice of shoes and wedges are always a summer choice! This look is a bit neutral with lots of nudes, pale pinks and a bit of black with gold matched into the look. Its chic, casual, eve catching but safe!
